Operation Elimination

Operation Elimination has officially started.
Kicked it off with selling the kids
Step2 Neat & Tidy Cottage.
Sheesh, I sure thought they'd miss it more than they do. Why didn't I do this sooner?
{That thing took up A LOT of space}

today I took some kid clothes to Once Upon a Child
then listed  about 4 more things on Craigslist.

Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.
Unlike most military families, we've been at the same duty station for 9 years.
Therefore, I have accumulated a lot of junk.

  1. We accumulated a TON at the last duty station where we were for 3 1/2 years. That's the longest we have ever been at one duty station let alone the same house. We took several van loads of stuff to goodwill and as I unpack boxes I am filling others with stuff to get rid of including a laundry basket over flowing with towels we don't need. I want to try to find an animal shelter that can use them.

    On a side note that is the same play house the kids have.

  2. I have been making trips to Goodwill regularly for the past cpl months and selling randomly on eBay and CL. There is still soooo much stuff! I'm scared to get rid of things, I might want them later lol.

    Oh and its a great play house, isn't it :) My kids were just getting to big.

  3. Great job getting started. Craigslist has been wonderful for me. That and the yahoo freecycle group in my area. Although I don't get much stuff off of either for myself, they are a great way to unload unwanted junk as well as sell items that are still worth something, just not needed.

    Keep up the good work!
