What! My first ever giveaway. Aw, proud blogger moment... *tear*
Sweet Bhrett, from Lost in Relocation, is sponsoring my first ever GIVEAWAY here at Ballistic Gypsy!
To thank her, I asked a ridiculous amount of questions and she actually answered some. So for that, she is today's SPOTLIGHT lady!
This is Bhrett:
"I'm a wandering soul. My husband and I have just relocated for the
fourth time in a year. Living the hand-made, fair-trade, thrift
store-raid kind of life is what we do. I hope you'll hop on over to my
blog and join our gypsy wagon as we seek out our path through this life."
What is your favorite four legged creature and why? I have a precious pug named Dharma, and I love her so. I got her in 2010 from a shelter than rescues pugs from puppy mills. Needless to say, she's stolen my heart and the heart of everyone she meets. She even stole the heart of the Life is Good staff when they featured her on their Fuel page (where you can read her story).
Do you enjoy rainy days or snowy days more? Snow is what I live for. We even spent our honeymoon in Alaska going on various adventures such as ice climbing. I love to spend my winters knee-deep in fresh Colorado powder. Unfortunately we're easterners for now...
What do you do in your free time? Among
other things I enjoy a good book, crunchy living, cuddling with my
love, a cup of tea, buying local and handmade, traveling, fresh air,
spending time with family, farmer's markets, yoga, microbreweries,
cooking/baking, all snow sports, fair-trade shopping, foreign films
(specifically Spanish and German-language), The Colbert Report, Netflix,
eating raw, thrifting, pugs, bicycling, mountains, camping, and shark
week. Oh, and wine. Lots of wine. I don't like canned vegetables or
sand between my toes.
Have you ever met anyone "Famous"? I'm not sure if this is interesting to people that aren't obsessed with Incubus, but here it is: At my cousins wedding I met the mother of Brandon Boyd, Incubus' lead singer. She was the officiant of the wedding. That's not all though. Right before Josh and I got married, Josh got in contact with my cousin and asked if he still had a way to contact BB's mother. He said yes, and Josh asked if they would be willing to ask her to get a signed record for me. Next thing I know, I'm opening up a wedding gift that is an Incubus album signed by three of the members of Incubus, saying something to the effect of "Hi, Bhrett." Yeah, I was very excited . Okay, maybe it's not that interesting, but I think it's cool. Best wedding gift ever! My one year anniversary present to Josh was a set of tickets to an Incubus concert. [link]
What are three things on your "bucket list"? Adopt a child, see Incubus at Red Rocks, visit my host sister in Austria or the Netherlands [link]
I've been a knitter for some six or seven years. One of my favorite
projects has always been these traditional dish cloths. It's not
because the knitting is fancy or special. It is just because they are
so useful and they work quite well. I'm sure you've seen some like this
before. After all, every house seems to have at least one. When I was
thinking about what to make for the giveaway, I thought what better
thing to giveaway than the tried and true granny's dishcloths! These
aren't the dishcloths that your granny made though. They are in
beautiful colors to bring a splash of summer to your kitchen- Bhrett

ReplyDeleteOkay so I read this like DAYS AND DAYS ago but forgot to enter and comment, because I'm an asshole. Okay so actually I did mean to but then I got distracted. Probably by something totally nuts, like... okay I can't think of anything nuts right now. Just forgive me. Please? :)
ReplyDeleteAlso I love Dharma. That gimpy eye just makes her cuter. I just want to hug her.
Adult ADD runs rampant in these parts. We don't judge!
